It was 30th

And I turn 30 this month… Well, sounds sad?!!? Oh, yeah! Honestly, just another birthday, but for other's sake one should react. Still, this one is special. A journey of 3 decades (1/3 rd   of my lifespan, I know I will live longer), of exploring me and around, life is less stupid and more thoughtful. In introspection, I see it blessing to be born to Parents who were not gender-biased. It feels more fortunate after witnessing  Female foeticide . Then my useless Siblings are pain and fun. We just belong to each other. Now this one is interesting. I consider myself half lawyer calculated from 1/4 th   by birth and 1/4 th   by working as my Dad’s sort-of-assistant while in school. Yeah!!! Feel free to get in touch.  Few silver linings always excited to stand out in black foliage to make it easy guessing my age. I read that you make habits for the first 30 years of life and next 30 they make you.   As this making begins, I curiously awa...

The Maggi Fiasco

With my last blog out, my brain got breather to talk about other stuff. Amidst all the Nestle Maggi controversy and recall, I'm wondering what will it be like without Maggi. It is awfully horrible to imagine those empty sections of D'mart, Big Bazaar, Hypercity which had overflowing Maggi noodle packets. It is giving me nostalgia when I had my first acquaintance with Maggi. It was the rarest food and tasted sinfully awesome. Even Sunday special brunch would be just a week away. I thank god, it is all happening after my sister completed her Engineering. My Mom used to bring lots of Maggi packets so that my sister doesn't stay hungry while studying. And I'm so very sure that she would stay up just to eat Maggi. I must say Maggi has good share of contribution to her scores. I have survived on Maggi for most of my dinners for almost 6 months in US, just to realize I need to start cooking. (Cooking part is completely to ignore) Same would be story of so so...

Distorted Reality

It's been a while and finally this is getting out of my head.  J I borrow this title from  'S teve Jobs' by  Walter Isaacson , because M anipulation sounded RUDE  L  and I have already been sitting over this topic for months. It is making me restless. Once my brother told me that as we grow up, we lose our innocence and start manipulating people to believe in our own ideals. I have been thinking over this for quite sometime. Does it come with age or this is our natural instinct? In our eco-system, many animals play dead or  camouflage  etc. (Zoology doesn't like me  L ). They are manipulating others to believe in their fake identity. I don't think they ever take classes for it. It comes naturally to them as part of their survival instinct. After all we as well are social animals. Although our survival needs are different, but instinct is probably same. Talk about innocence in Kids . Ummm?!!? They know how to ...

And we lost World Cup'15 !

World Cup’15 is over and we are not winners  L  L  L One and probably only thing that unites Indians (at least till current generations) over Religion or any divisive politics, is  Cricket . For 4 long Years, we eagerly wait for World Cup, live the same dream of winning it, pray for Indian Cricket Team, and stay optimistic till very last ball of the Game. And this Thursday we lost semi-finals, when we were not even expecting to get through Qualification round (pessimistically or realistically). So I feel that's good enough that we reached Semi-Finals. Still it hurts when they lose. After all it is our Team and we feel  connected . J Though I'm not any Cricket expert or big Fan, so match results doesn't bother me much after the moment. But there are real fans, who get upset when Team is defeated and overjoyed when it wins. Then, there are some, I don't think they are qualified enough to be called fans, who are fans of only vic...

Interstellar in Hindu Mythology

Though I was not planning to watch recently released ‘Interstellar’ (not for any specific reason though), but accidentally I could not get any other movie ticket for my available time and on last minute had to book this one. No regrets!!! An awesome, thought provoking movie! I was thinking how I could not have watched it. This movie really got me excited while relating Movie scenes with Hindu Mythology instances. I might act as a bit of Movie Spoiler but I’m not giving any story here. So you can read it and then watch movie. That would make your experience even interesting. While ‘Interstellar’ explores 5-dimesions which are understood and manipulated by future Humans, could these 5-dimesions be related to 5 heads of Brahma in anyway? As we know, Brahma is the Creator. And as a Creator, one needs to have control on at least Time and Space. Yeah, one head was cut off, which dimension is gone? Philosophically, one of the dimensions is related to Physical consciou...

State of being Happy

When everytime I seek happiness in world around me, I see 'Someone' in so peace with self that I wonder - Is happiness nothing but just a way of being or agreeing with yourself? While moving on in life; we sacrifice, be selfish, envy, be a loser or winner. At all these times, we are too worried to look at those small pieces of puzzles, which actually put together our actual self, which bring happiness.  With Love come Worries. Worry of losing, betrayal, their well being and you can keep going endlessly on this. What you choose to take forward, shapes state of mind. I don't know if it is natural disability for some to ignore Love and pick worries out of everything or a Choice you make everytime. Usually I'm critical while analyzing people and more if they are dear, so as to eliminate any chances of bias. Still I see 'Someone' with so many behavioral differences, yet with amazing ability to ignore worries. Maybe it is too much of optimism by nature or a state of m...

Is Egg-Freezing socially viable in India?

Many companies are coming up with several Women – Centric options to retain Female – Talent. Though Female employees come with their specific Pros and Cons to any Industry, they hold special place due to many corporate reasons. Naturally women have physiological limitations, which compel them to lesser Job Hops and hence better Job Stability. Emotionally as well, it is difficult for Female employees to change Offices and co-workers very often. This brings them up in the list of reliable work force. Thus, to balance Career ambitions and Physiological Limitations, Apple and Facebook have announced Egg-Freezing Benefits to their Female workforce. Though it sounds pretty interesting on how far companies can extend their support to retain talents, is it really viable option in India? How practical is it in India where social structure revolves around Family , not career ? Could there be better options? We in India, diverse in religions, cultures have one thing in common – Fami...
